More Houston Pics

This morning, Hayden and I went back to the aquarium that we visited the last time we were here. It was fun, but Hayden didn’t have much interest in the fish tanks this time and pretty much ran through everything. I kept having to pick him up and show him different things otherwise, he’d have gone through it all in 5 minutes! After the aquarium part we rode the carousel, which he was scared of this time, the ferris wheel and the train. Then we played in the dancing fountains and Hayden had a push up for a treat, which he really enjoyed! Once he was finished with it, he climbed in his stroller, so I think he was ready to go. He fell sound asleep shortly after we headed back to the hotel.

Here are some pics from the aquarium today as well as some of Hayden relaxing in the bath last night. He’s usually scared to lay back in the water, but he lowered himself slowly down onto Wade’s legs, then just chilled there for a bit. It was so cute!

Pictures from Museum, etc.

Yesterday afternoon we all went swimming when Wade got off of work. The pool was a little too cold, so we went in the spa, which was just warm enough to feel nice, but not too warm for Hayden to be in. He had fun playing with daddy, riding on his back and “jumping” to him. We went again this morning, but it was still too chilly and mommy isn’t quite so fun!

And here are the pictures from the Children’s Museum yesterday:

In Houston …

We made it to Houston.  We arrived here about 4pm yesterday afternoon and had a pretty good drive.  Hayden was really good in the car.  He was awake for half of the drive, watching his movies then after lunch at Cracker Barrel, he slept the other half.

This morning we took a trip the Children’s Museum, which was really cool.  Hayden had a ball!  First there’s an area called “Tot Spot” which is for newborn – 36 months, so I didn’t have to worry about him getting trampled by bigger kids.  Only problem, is now I was worried he’d trample smaller kids!  He wasn’t being rough or rambunctious, but there were lots of babies crawling around and kids smaller than him.  It was a neat little area, though.  His favorite part was the car room which has a small car that you can climb in and pretend to drive.   After this, we went through the rest of the museum pretty quickly.  Everything was for bigger kids, so Hayden just ran around and stopped at things that caught his eye.  This was pretty much anything with a button to push or handle to grab.  There’s also an outdoors area that has a “bayou” that kids can play around and splash in, but its not to get in.  Hayden, of course, put his whole foot in, shoe and all.  We also painted a picture in the art room.  It was a fun time!  I have some pics, but I’ll post them later when I get them from my camera.
