Homemade Ice Cream

Sunday afternoon, we finally put our ice cream maker to use – we’ve had it for over a year now, maybe more?  Wade and Hayden made some vanilla ice cream, which tastes pretty good, if you like homemade ice cream (which I don’t)  Hayden loved helping to pour in all the ingredients and then he helped put all the ice into the machine.  It took a couple of hours for it to be completely ready, but when it was, boy, did Hayden enjoy it!

The pictures from them making the ice cream are in my July 2008 Album as well as some more of the eating ice cream pictures.  Here are just a few of the ones I liked:

We all scream for ice cream!

Hmmm … daddy still has some left …

Think I’ll just help myself to his, too!

27 Weeks

Yuck, yuck, yuck.

That’s how I feel right now.

So, the baby weighs 2 pounds and I’m figuring my expansive chest accounts for another 10?  LOL  So, the rest of the 30+ pounds is spread throughout my thighs, butt, arms and chin (which is why my head is cut off).  I’m 27 weeks now and while the first half of the pregnancy seemed to fly by, this second part is dragging.  My insomnia had gotten better for a couple of weeks, but I’ve pretty much been awake since 2:30 this morning.   I may or may not have fallen back asleep between 5 – 7:30, but not a very good sleep, so I’m pretty tired.  I’ve started getting cramps in my legs and feet … I remember getting these with Hayden.  Wade says they are Charlie Horses and I need to eat more bananas, but apparently, this is a common pregnancy symptom that occurs at this time b/c I just read about it on Baby Center.  Other than feeling really huge, the leg cramps and starting to feel pretty tired all the time again, I’m feeling ok, just anxious to meet our baby girl!

Hayden in black and white

I still have weekend pictures to edit, but I haven’t felt like messing with them much.  Today, I had an idea that I’m so glad I tried out … I think I found the key to getting cute pictures of Hayden with relatively no problem.  Just take a thick down comforter, throw it on a huge bed and let him play!  I think I want most of the pictures framed BIG in my house! lol
