Emelyn is 17 months old now and if someone can be completely full of personality and charm without saying a word, then that’s Emelyn. She’s the sweetest thing, though still fiercely independent and clingy at the same time. She’s so smart and amazes me constantly with what she understands. She knows all her body parts – hair, head, eyes, nose, mouth, lips, teeth, tongue, ears, cheeks, belly, arms, hands, fingers, butt, knees, feet and toes. I got her a precious dress from Target the other day and wanted to be sure to get some photos of her in it, so I set her out in the side yard and chased her with the camera. She demonstrated some of her body part skills – mostly tongue and belly LOL Here is a little series of shots I got of her:
I had to set up my studio stuff the other day for a client, so I had the kids test out my lighting for me. Emelyn sat for about a second:
Then Hayden did this out of the blue, he cracks me up:
This is a very busy time of year for me, from March to about mid-June, so you probably won’t see too many blog updates, but I wanted to throw these pictures up here before I forgot. The weather has been really nice, so we’ve been spending time outside. The other day, I let hte kids finger paint on the porch. Emelyn didn’t really care for it, she doesn’t like to get dirty. The finger painting fun didn’t last too long … about the time Hayden put his whole, green hand on his face, I decide it was time to have bubble bath time instead!
