Our New House

We knew when Wade got laid off last July that there was a 99% chance we’d have to move out of Morgan City.  As the days and months went by, finding a job in Morgan City or even in Houma seemed like a remote possibility.  Sometime in January, we decided to go ahead and put our house on the market, thinking it would take a while to sell.  Withing 3 weeks, we had an offer on it but thankfully, we also had a job lead for Wade in Houma.  We started looking around and after much thought, we decided on purchasing this house in Houma.  The house was unfinished and there was a lot of work that had to be done but we were able to get it for a great price PLUS we already had the resources to finish it!  Wade was really excited about it but it took me quite a while to really get into it.  I was super busy at the time and there were so many hoops we had to jump through to actually get this house.  The owner and the bank did let us get in almost immediately to start cleaning it up and working on it, which Wade did.  He’s put so much hard work into this house and now I’m in love with it.  Its been a process to get it to the point we are at now, but first, let me show you what we started with:
